President of the Republic of Albania, Bamir Topi, said today that Albania strongly supports Kosovo's independence thus rejecting its partition, while its originators he called the dreamer. "All Albanian institutions regardless who is in charge of them have a synchronized voice, whether in the United Nations Organizations, or in other important tables where it is discussed about EU policy, which Albania hopes to be the candidate status to express strongly what Kosovo is today, and absolutely should not be thought that can be separation of Kosovo. Moreover, President Topi, considers that the path of Kosovo, to European Union, without a doubt is not unstoppable and that in his opinion, nobody should go out of this line.
"Serbia itself should not go out in the Euro-Atlantic integration projects, because this is a all regional project. Trends today are integrating and nobody wants to be out this line and due to a philosophy that relates to the nationalist retrospective. Ballkans today has a totally different physiognomy, "said Albanian President.
Moreover, he added, that we wish to have an integrated Balkans, where policy should not be prohibitive and it is time that all of us wish to have a integrating Balkans into the EU.
Meanwhile, talking about the closing process of supervision of Independence, President Topi stated that Albania is following closely the process, for which he hopes will be successfully completed. He evaluated that Kosovo since its declaration of independence, has made extraordinary and substantial changes in its development as a state. He expressed his belief that Kosovo will know how to save its entire territory and its future will undoubtedly be in the EU.
Whereas, the President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, as she thanked President Topi for his commitment to the issue of Kosovo, said that relations between the two countries are exemplary and according to her the common goal of Kosovo and Albania, without doubt is integration into the European Union.
