The prime minister Hashim Thaçi requested from his cabinet to engage maximally in carrying out obligations deriving in frame of the integration process.
“2012 is marking a great turn in Kosova’s path to European integration through intensification of European agenda. For the first time in Kosova’s history we have marked concrete progress in advancement of official relations between the state of Kosova and European Union,” Thaçi said.
According to him, the path to beginning of negotiation of stabilization and association agreement is being open through questionnaire and feasibility study. He mentioned as well the reception of roadmap on visa liberalization and the structured dialogue with European Union as well in the field of rule of law.
“The fact-finding mission of European Commission has stayed in Kosova on June 18-22, and it has collected the required information on preparation of feasibility study, which is expected to be published in October 2012. The feasibility study leads Kosova to stabilization and association agreement, which presents the most important step that has been offered to Kosova so far in European integration process,” Thaçi said.
