A 22-year-old guy, while trying to escape from the police, was driving his vehicle “Golf 3” towards two police officers, who, in order to avoid the risk, were obliged to jump aside of the road.

The spokesperson for the police in Mitrovica, Besim Hoti said that the regional traffic police officers, after having received the information on identifying the vehicle of the suspect “Golf 3”, which had avoided the control in the police checkpoint a day ago, have tried to stop it at the checkpoint in Kqiq village.
According to him, one of the bullets has hit the right side of the vehicle of suspect, however the driver was not injured and he continued his escape and obliged the police officers to inform other police units and to chase him.
“The suspect was localized hundreds of meters away from the scene, by leaving the vehicle and trying to escape on foot. The suspect is under police control despite of the physical resistance during arrest,” Hoti said, adding that the vehicle of the suspect, which had different license plates, was seized.
