Bechtel&Enka took 153 million euro

While talking about the achievements in the first six months of this year, Mujota presented as well the realization of obligations towards the Bechtel&Enka company, which is construction the highway. He said that around 153 million euro were given to this company so far for construction of the highway 7.

“In the obligations for Bechtel&Enka company, respectively for the works on highway 7, we are realizing the responsibilities and financial obligations, and around 153 million euro have been paid within this year and we have sufficient budget to follow the works in the dynamics of Bechtel&Enka in segment7,” Mujota said.

Whereas, regarding the beginning of construction of the highway Prishtina – Ferizaj – Hani i Elezit, he said that the signing of the contract will be done at the time when all officials will be confident that financial conditions will allow it.

“We are in close cooperation with Ministry of Finances, Prime Minister, Government and all international mechanisms, with International Monetary Fund in order not to have any financial imbalance, there will be no financial crisis due to the new road, respectively the highway 6 Prishtina – Ferizaj – Hani i Elezit and the contract will be signed when all officials will be confident that we will have financial possibility,” Mujota said.

Regarding the question about the highway Prishtina – Skopje in case of beginning of works whether it will begin with the current plan or there will be change of track, Mujota said that it is not about any change of track, but currently it is an issue of technical procedures.

However, regarding the road infrastructure, Mujota was more focused on constructed kilometers of the highway and on those that are expected to be constructed, than on the roads that have started earlier and the works on them have stumbled.

Kosovapress asked him why the works on enlargement of the road Prishtina – Peja have stopped in Orllat village, he said that they have had problems with expropriation in that part.
