Minister of Diaspora Ibrahim Makolli, on this occasion, has highly appreciated the contribution of our Diaspora in retention of our national values and cultural heritage. He said that the Albanian Diaspora, except it is cultivator of national values, is also the creator of these values.
"In this context, during the stay of our Diaspora, we are trying to organize cultural activities, in which, this time, in comparison with previous periods, mainly we are dealing with the presentation of the values of our Diaspora.
Our Diaspora is in a different condition, it is not only a cultivator of our national values, but is also a creator of these values. Public in Kosovo from long time ago has had chances to see values created at our Diaspora, and we in these days are giving space to Diaspora in order to present its values that creates almost every day in places where they live and work, "he said.
Gjyle Berisha form Qyshk of Peja was one of the women who were present at this manifestation. She said to Kosovapress that deals with this profession since the age 14.
Her great love for Albanian tradition and culture has made her not to leave this profession that has inherited from the ancestors. Gjyla says that she does not earn a lot from this profession, but the cultivation of the Albanian tradition brings a lot of happiness to her.
"I deal with this profession since the age of 14. I inherit this tradition from my parents. Also my mother in-law had this tradition as profession. My father in law 110 years old, was worn with traditional clothing. I have a shop at Qyshk and sew by machine. We do not earn too much because everyone is doing this kind of job, but everyone has their own
own revenues, "she said.
Another exhibitor from Peja, Dylber Gjylani, has said to Kosovapress that the interest of the citizens for his artisans is very large. However he appealed to all to retain the cultural heritage, which in his opinion is disappearing.
