PAK requests to stop the strike

PAK informed that after receiving the resignation of the director of “Trepça”, Ferat Shala, based on PAK law, the deputy Ferat Shala has become acting director.

“PAK clarifies that the appointment of new director will be realized through transparent and competitive process, where the candidates will be interviewed by the Commission formed by representatives of PAK, Government and representatives of Trepça workers. PAK requests from all workers of Trepça to continue their work and to fulfill the duties and responsibilities by respecting the contract,” reads the press release of PAK.

However, the “Trepça” workers continue the strike that started on Tuesday in sign of dissatisfaction towards PAK, which has appointed Esat Ujkani as acting director. They are waiting for fulfillment of their requests, which deal with the visit of parliament speaker Jakup Krasniqi, former manager Ferat Shala and any representative of the Government.
