75 companies with job offers in “Stock Employment” in Pristina

Employment Stock is being held under the auspices of the Kosovo Business Alliance and the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, in which are participating many companies from agribusiness, construction and information technology. The Employment Stock, after the activities held in several municipalities of Kosovo, today, continued its activity in Pristina, to conclude its operations for this year.

The president of Kosovo Business Alliance, Agim Shahini, considering the organization of this project as important, believes that local and international businesses will provide more employment opportunities. He said the Stock Employment aims the direct communication of increasing of information about labor market and employment opportunities. Therefore, as he said, the Employment Stock is already showing success in creating new job vacancies. He emphasized that the capacities of private sector businesses, are growing from year to year, which are providing good opportunities for new job vacancies.

"Today about 75 companies from across Kosovo, have arrived in Pristina with their offers, with more than 200 job vacancies. This is only in “Stock Employment in Kosovo 2012,” which after various municipalities arrived in Pristina. But our efforts will not stop in Pristina, they will continue during all this year. We as “Kosovo Business Alliance”

(AKB) will encourage the Government of Kosovo to create better policies for economic development, to increase the possibility of new investments, but we also will encourage employers to open more new job vacancies,” said Shahini.

AKB's leader added that with this form is planning to alleviate a little bit of the unemployment crisis in the country and said that young Kosovars have a great need of employment.

After that, the Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Nenad Rasic, is on a visit to Brussels, on his behalf spoke his adviser, Bexhet Gaxhiqi. He said the Stock of Employment is a new opportunity to exchange information between market subjects of employers - employees, better alignment of supply and demand in the labor market, creation and promotion of relations with partners. Asked by the media about the number of the unemployed in Kosovo, he said that figure in Kosovo is about 40 percent.
