Electricity, fruit and vegetable price increased

This was published by the Statistical Office of Kosova, and their report shows that there was as well a decrease of prices, however this is mainly noticed on equipment, phone services and telefax (-4.5%), decrease of price for international calls with an impact of -0.2% in the price index.

The general index of consumption price in Kosova is higher for 1.0% in February 2012 in comparison with January 2012. However, comparing February 2012 with February 2012, the consumption price in Kosova increased for 1.7%.

The price increase is mainly noticed at the use of equipment for personal transport (fuel) for 9.6%, electricity, gas and other fuels for 10.7%. The reason was the increase of price of wood for heating 44.2%, meat 4.8%, tobacco 8.9%, milk, cheese and eggs 4.5%, fruits 5.1%, coffee and tea 9.4%, mineral water, soft drinks 3.3%, clothes 2.1%, water supply and different services dealing with residence 12.5%, goods and services for maintaining the household 4.3% and hotel services for 2.3%.
