This was said today by deputy director for enlargement in European Commission, Joost Korte during his visit to Kosova, while he was participating in the third meeting of the dialogue on stabilization and association.
Korte said that the election reform, reform in public administration, rule of law, integration of minorities and trade will be the key criteria that they will evaluate on Kosovas advancement and, according to him, they will request full commitment.
He said that the approach that they want to see is to be more strategic, more involved in financial planning and to turn into sectorial approach. He said that they should move from individual projects and to focus on sectorial projects, thus they will be assured that funds are used wisely.
In this meeting, the prime minister Hashim Thaçi said that this year is marking the formalization of rapports Kosova-EU.
He said that they are aware that the European integration process is a complex process.
In the past I have stated that my Government is fully engaged in intensifying the dynamics of the integration process, and I state this today as well with accountability and commitment. Thus, intensification of political and technical dialogue with European Commission, which is happening these days, contributes on advancement of Kosova towards integration in European Union, Thaçi said.
Whereas, the representative of European Union in Kosova, Samuel Zbogar said that integration is a process that needs consensus from all sides in Kosova.
