The member of AAK headship, Melihate Termkolli said in today’s press conference that the minister of Diaspora, Ibrahim Makolli, has announced that next year will take place registration of diaspora and they have started preparations for this project.
She considered that the minister is late with this project, by reminding him that many efforts were done at the time of UNMIK administration to have the right of registering the citizens who live abroad, as according to her, at that time UNMIK considered that registration of citizens who live abroad is not in accordance with international norms. Termkolli said that the right for drafting a form for registration of citizens who live abroad was achieved. However, according to her, as soon as this Government came to power, it changed the Law on registration.
The member of AAK headship said that the Government of Kosova have deceived the Albanian diaspora by not registering them.
“I must say that this government has deceived the diaspora, however it deceived as well the citizens of Kosova, because instead of registering all citizens abroad, they considered that there should be registered the citizens who have left Kosova, thus not those who have started families out of Kosova,” Termkolli said.
