This decision in certain political circles, primarily in the Serbian Republic, is evaluated as a step towards acceptance of Kosovo by Bosnia and Herzegovina, but, if it is judged according to the official explanation of the respective institutions, it is all about the decision which will have to facilitate certain procedures and the arrival of some citizens of Kosovo, first of all of those with origin from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Director of Service for work with foreigners in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Maktiq said to Serbian media that it does not mean that Bosnia and Herzegovina has recognized Kosovo and its documents.
"According to the decision of Council of Ministers of BH, Kosovo citizens are given visas only in certain situations, respectively in situations where someone comes in an international conference, invited by the court or similar cases. The issuing of visas for citizens of Kosovo is as rigorous and is not allowed even in situations when someone has paid touristic trips and even when it comes to organized trips, "said Mektiq.
Source of "Vesti" by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BH who insisted on anonymity said that the decision for visas in Kosovo passports visas was proposed by former minister of this ministry, Sven Alkalaj, which is being implemented by the current chief of diplomacy, Zllatko Lagumxhija.
Decision for the manner of obtaining visa documents for citizens with documents of Kosovo, was announced in official newspaper of BH on July 16. In the frame of it are also included rigorous procedures. In addition, Kosovo in that decision is written with an explanation, respectively as the "Republic of Kosovo".
