“First of all, there is no decision for a political dialogue, however I can say that the prime minister of Republic of Kosova and all of us as institutional officials are ready to meet any representative of other country in the sense of two representatives of equal countries, for good neighboring relations, for peace and stability in the region and for integration in European Union,” Kuçi said.
He added that the prime minister Thaçi has stated several times that there can be political meetings of higher level with Serbs.
After being asked by the journalists on when will the meetings of higher level between Kosova and Serbia take place, Kuçi said that they are not rushing for such meetings, adding that Kosova fells no shame to be represented everywhere, however, according to him, others should be ashamed in rapport with Kosova.
“We are not rushing for such meetings. However I can say that everywhere that Kosova is represented as a country, everywhere that we have our state position, we are not ashamed to meet anyone. Others should feel bad in rapport with us. However, this is not something that we are rushing and should be done today or tomorrow,” Kuçi said.
Regarding the issue whether the Government had international pressure in order to start political dialogue with Serbia, Kuçi said that the Government will take all decisions in accordance with Kosova’s Constitution, adding that the EU and USA pressure in the last 20 years has been positive and not negative for Kosova.
