Yesterday’s session was stopped by the speaker, as there was no quorum because the MPs of PDK did not stay in the session, and said that the session would continue today at 10:00. However, the MPs of PDK did not come to the session, except of Fatmir Limaj. This made the opposition to accuse the MPs of PDK.
The chief of the Parliamentary Group of LDK, Ismet Beqiri said that it is unacceptable for the MPs of ruling coalition to boycott the session on an important issue.
“I understand the right of MPs not to participate, however to boycott the work of Parliament on such important issue, this is done only by a group of MPs who God knows how they have come to Parliament with citizens’ votes and this unaccountability is obvious,” Beqiri said.
Moreover, he said that in the future LDK will not make the quorum even if there will be only 20 or 30% of ruling coalition.
“LDK will not be the one that will make the quorum because this Parliament does not deserve to be managed by Kosova’s Government, as there are efforts to infringe your work as speaker and our work,” Beqiri said.
Whereas, the chief of Parliamentary Group of Vetevendosje, Visar Ymeri said that it is obvious that these MPs have great interests for not participating in today’s session.
