On behalf of Kosova’s Government, he expressed condolences to family, associates and friends of Dino Asanaj. Moreover, he added that his death was a shock for everyone, as for the family, associates and all citizens of Kosova. Thaçi has requested to resolve the circumstances, or as he said, the blackmail that led to death of Asanaj.
“I want to assure all institutions of Kosova that we will do everything to resolve the circumstances and cause of the death of senior official of the state. We will review every circumstance and factor that affected the violent death of Asanaj, either on objective or subjective actions, of blackmails on public, by individuals or criminal groups who do not accept the free economy of free trade. We in Kosova will not allow for blackmail, threatening and violence to block the free economy of trade and competition,” Thaçi said.
Moreover, he added that Asanaj has worked a lot for the country at the time of liberation, at the time of efforts for freedom and state building and he will be respected by the state and citizens of Kosova.
In the meeting of Kosova’s Government were reviewed several points of agenda, including the review of the proposed decision on appointment of main executive officer in the Administrative Office of Mitrovica.
