The spokesperson for Kosova Police, Baki Kelani told Kosovapress that in frame of the strategic development plan for the period 2011-2015, the Kosova Police has foreseen a special objective on public security in general, and according to him, in frame of this was drafted the police operation plan, which deals with the summer season and foreseen prevention of use of weapons.
“In the last three months Kosova Police has increased the police capacities, mainly in those locations with information on celebration ceremonies, in order to affect the prevention of use of weapons and to arrest the persons and seize the weapons. In the last week Kosova Police has reached to seize 13 weapons that were used in different parties,” Kelani said.
The first cases as a result of this occurrence have been reported from the use of weapons in family celebrations, fortunately they have ended without fatality.
“This year as a result of use of firearms, two cases were reported where two persons were injured from bullets coming from air. One case has happened in Skenderaj region and the other one in Lipjan region, fortunately the injured persons were in good health condition,” Kelani said.
