According to sources, this presence is related to the decision of Kosova’s Government to seize the old Serbian license plates from vehicles, which will be noticed circulating in these zones.
“It is believed that the additional presence of the police shows the determination to end the use of old Serbia’s license plates within Kosova’s territory,” said the sources, adding that no vehicle with such license plates has been noticed until now.
The sources added that the large number of police officers deals as well with their readiness to react in case of any revolt of the citizens.
Kosovapress has contacted the information officers of Kosova Police, however they said that they are not aware of additional police presence in these two border crossing points.
