According to her, there were rarely donated new books, whereas there is high demand from members of library. “Usually the main demands of readers are for new books that are published, for which the library has no fund and opportunity to secure them,” Kasa said.
She emphasized that for this action, which is proving successful, she had the support of the director of the library and the Directorate of Culture in Municipality of Mitrovica. “The action has started on July 10 and will last until August 10, and then will be organized an exhibition with the titles of books that will be donated,” Kasa said.
Halil Bashota is one of the persons who have responded to the action and donated ten copies of his first book with poems “Te jetosh nje kohe tjeter”. He said that it is a good action and he has donated his books for readers.
Whereas, the director of Directorate of culture, youth and sports, Artan Osmani, who participated in the handing over of the books of the poet Halil Bashota, thanked everyone who is helping this action. “We thank everyone who has donated books for our library by resulting with increase of number of books with new ones,” Osmani said.
