The head of Association of Kosova Allergologist, Dr. Bajram Abdullahu said that for the first time will be presented in front of health specialists the GINA guide, which was drafted by the World Allergy Organization and contains contemporary advices and methods for treating and healing asthma.
According to him, the patients that suffer from asthma are not being treated in required way, by mentioning the lack of medicines, as well the lack of a clinic that would be at their service.
“The lack of medicines was the focus of this conference and we call on all bodies for support in this aspect. All countries of the work reimburse the medicines for asthma. As these patients have a chronic disease, high level of disability, bad social-economic condition, and if we burden them as well with these medicines, then we can say that patients are not being treated in good way,” Abdullahu said.
The minister of Health, Ferid Agani admitted that with the current budget of the ministry, it is impossible to provide medicines for all patients. However, he stressed that they are working in the aspect of providing medicines for all patients.
