Director of this Directorate Bislim Imeri, said that despite some little problems, this year the harvesting and threshing have been successful. "Directorate of Agriculture and Rural Development along with the Municipal Commission for the harvesting and threshing campaign of white grain, have consistently been in the ground being familiar with the difficulties and problems of farmers and combine drivers that face in the realization of the process of harvesting and threshing, at the same time providing professional support to resolve problems and various difficulties, "said Imeri.
He said that this year in the municipality of Mitrovica have been 930 ha of cultivated wheat, 800 ha oat and 45 ha barley. According to him, harvesting and threshing began on July 6 and continued until on July 25.
He stressed that the process of harvesting and threshing, despite some little problems, was realized as planned by the Directorate of Agriculture and MAFRD.
"It is important to stress that in the beginning of harvesting have started 10 combines, and later their number was increased in 20 of them," he said.
Imeri said that based on data from the ground, this year the average yield was 4000 kg / ha of wheat, 2100 kg / ha of oat and 2400 kg / ha of barley.
"For successful completion of harvesting and threshing despite agro-ecological conditions, have influenced several factors: the arrival of a large number of combines from other municipalities, then the work in ground of the municipal commission and the Directorate of Agriculture and Rural Development as well as subsidizing by MAFRD for combines to 25% cheaper per liter of oil, " said Imeri.
