Salih Saliu, head of the Committee for Agriculture and Rural Development in Vetėvendosje Movement, said the problems that agriculture in Kosovo is facing with, are small budget for agriculture, lack of capital investments, lack of credit institutions with favorable and long term interest rates, lack of investors, the difficulty to provide placement of production, especially abroad, lack of agricultural infrastructure and lack of counseling services for farmers.

"Agriculture will be the priority of Vetėvendosje Movements governance. Because agriculture employs and produces. Agriculture employs people, but also produces material goods.
With these material goods, which are produced by agriculture, revenues from abroad never go abroad, because we will meet our needs with domestic production, "he said.
He said that as Vetėvendosje has considered agriculture as a priority sector, it has forecasted that the budget for agriculture for the first year to be around 60 million euro, for the second year 90 million euro and the third year 120 million euro. While with full implementation of this agricultural development program, according to Salihu, is expected the employment of 10 thousand people, economic increase and welfare of citizens, reducing unemployment and poverty rate.
