Prishtina municipality spent only 9.3 percent of budget

Sadri Ramabaja, from the parliamentary group of "Vetėvendosje", said that this report shows miserable economic and social situation in the Municipality of Pristina. Even before this fact, that was made every effort to be presented every best possible thing, to be present also the projects funded by donations available for schools that are funded by the MEST, the economic development capacity of our center, has to do a lot. This happens because the management of those resources of the municipality is done like it is foreign commodity, "he said.

However, Mayor of Pristina Isa Mustafa, responded to these accusations, claiming that economic and social situation in Pristina, is satisfactory, but is serious as throughout Kosovo, as the unemployment rate is high.

"The situation is serious here, as throughout Kosovo, but it is not true that I had ever promised to employ 50 thousand people in Pristina, because there are no vacancies for 50 thousand and we as municipal are not the employer. This is something illusory and unstable. If we have 350 thousand officially employed, 50 thousand employees mean 16 percent more. There is no employment rate of 16 percent that can be done in Kosovo, which can be accomplished in any country. They are unstable issues. Because we have the economic increase rate of 3.7 percent and cannot respond to this increase an employment rate of 16 percent, "said Mustafa.
