The head of the independent trade union of Electro-energetic of Kosova, Izet Mustafa said that this is just giving away the assets of the nation and the amount of 26.3 million euro has not paid even the facility of Electrokosova, without considering the other assets.
“The amount that was offered by Limak & Calik company is not purchase, but it is to give away the assets of this nation, of the employees of the corporation and of Kosova’s economy. In the mathematical aspect, if we calculate only the square meters of the facility of Elektrokosova, which is now property of a private company, it results that the value of the facility has not been paid, without even considering the other assets, such as cables, the pillars of electrical network. Even without considering the electrical centers, which are with cooper wire and all of these assets, if they would be sold only as material, separated from the facility of Elektrokosova, again it would exceed this amount. This is a mockery with the property of the people and KEK employees and this has not been sold, but it was given away,” Mustafa said.
He said that in this process employees were not considered at all, and there is no agreement between the Government and representatives of employees. According to him, with privatization of KEDS, KEK employees will be insecure, considering that the company that is privatizing this part of KEK, after taking the management of Prishtina Airport as well, has undertaken some actions harming the employees and it is expected to happen in KEK as well.
