Proposal of MZHE gets the green light

At the meeting of the Cabinet on the agenda have been some draft-decisions such as that for sending security forces contingent in Albania, on the occasion of 100 anniversary of the independence of Albania and the draft regulation on procedures for purchasing and leasing facility for diplomatic and consular missions of the Republic of Kosovo.

Minister of Economic Development, Besim Beqaj has informed the privatization process of KEK Distribution, where on June 8 Government Privatization Commission has made the opening of bids, according to the rules for biddings and the highest bid was announced as preferred bid.

Financial bids have had these values, the Çalik-Limak consortium 26.3 million euros, while the LSVD company 22.8 million euros. Beqaj said that basing on this, KQP has announced the Limak bid as winner of the final bid announcing as the preferred bidder in the transaction process.

However about this process was interested to know more also the Deputy Prime Minister, Bujar Bukoshi, saying that there were taken bad experiences from the region.

"I do not understand. We have very bitter experiences with this system, for example CEZ is in Albania. Have they been taken into account? This is all sounds good, but later it becomes difficult if we get into these processes that are difficult , "said Bukoshi.

On the other hand, Beqaj said that all those experiences have been taken into account and that in his view, Kosovo has gone to another process of privatization.

"Of course that all the experiences from the region from Albania, Macedonia and other countries have been taken into account. It is a very large difference between the transaction we have made and the other countries of region. Countries of the region have put the guarantees for such a process. We have not given the state guarantee. Countries have provided subsidies for non-collection, we have not given any kind of insurance for non-collection, "said Beqaj.
