Kosovo Privatization Agency (AKP) in the opening ceremony of the 55 Wave of Privatization and sales of assets through Liquidation 14 has announced the provisional winners of new enterprises and assets of social enterprises, which were available for sale.

Deputy managing director of (AKP), Mrika Tahiri, which made the official opening of the ceremony, has said that holding these two waves of sales in one day and participation in the increasing number of bidders, is indicative that the process of privatization of social enterprises and their assets, is successfully continuing. She thanked the investors that with their participation are helping the economy in the privatization process. Tahiri said that, the Agency is applying special tenders, with marketing, prequalification conditions and special bidding date for a few more strategic enterprises. Meanwhile, she reminded the audience that all tendering process is conducted in a transparent manner.
The Agency has so far concluded 911 contracts and privatizations are already signed, from which 651 contracts are signed by the privatization with spin-off method, while 234 of them are from the sales of assets through liquidation. In trust funds so far have been collected about 590 million euros, while the benefits of workers from the 20% that belong to them have reached the sum of around 55 million euros. / S.ZOGAJ /
